Mike Garvin, New NextGen Institute Executive Director, effective January 31, 2011

Mike Garvin joined the NextGen Institute as the Executive Director effective Jan 31, 2011. Mike has over 20 years of airline operations experience from a pilot to Vice President of Flight Operations. Mike has been involved in NextGen for a number of years and was the Regional Airline representative on the ATMAC (Air Traffic Management Advisory Committee) and the NACSC (NextGen Advisory Committee's Subcommittee). Prior to joining the Institute, Mike was at Pinnacle Airlines where his last project was to bring together the people of three different airlines to develop a centralized transition and integration plan. Mike looks forward to continuing the work of bringing aerospace professionals together as he leads the NextGen Institute's vision of brining industry experts and government together in defining, developing and implementing the Next Generation Air Transportation System.
