NextGen Institute Issues RFP

While we are grateful for the responses to our recent Request for Proposal (RFP), we have not received the desired number of applications for the Airframe Subject Matter Expert (SME) request. We will therefore hold this RFP open for another 14 days. If you would like to submit a response, please do so by Friday, July 29th at 1800. If we do not have sufficient responses by that time, we will begin the process of Sole Sourcing the Airframe SME position. The other five SME positions are scheduled to continue according to the timeline in the original RFP.

The NextGen Institute has been asked to provide a team of industry experts to the joint FAA/SESAR Technical Interchanges Team. The FAA needs six individuals with the following areas of expertise:

• Pilot
• Air Traffic Controller
• Avionics
• Airframe
• Decision Support
• Automation - Flight Data Manager

This is a Firm Fixed Price contract. Please review the RFP, RFP Evaluation Plan, and the RFP Executive Summary for details. Please note that we've extended the deadline for RFP submissions. All submittals are now due by 6pm on July 12, 2011. We anticipate announcing the award on July 29, 2011. Please contact Mike Garvin with any questions.
